Ma Pi Leng

Located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac townships, Ma Pi Leng is the name of the most dangerous road in Vietnam, in the province of Ha Giang. The name of Ma Pi Leng is translated into “horse nose”. This is one of the “four great passes” which is famous to many Vietnamese backpackers. This palace is about 20 km long, curving around the mountain peak of 2,000 m high. Ma Pi Leng is also known as “the king of dangerous roads” in Vietnam. This pass attracted not only the visitors but also the photographers by the beautiful scenery.

Pha Din Pass

Located on Highway 5, in the territory of two provinces of Son La and Dien Bien, Pha Din Pass is 32 km long. Pha Din in Thai language also means “heaven and earth”, meaning that this place is a contiguous land between heaven and earth. The road is left unforgettable impression by the steep crabs, peaceful scenery of the villages which is spotted at the foot of the pass.

O Quy Ho

“The Northwest Pass King” of O Quy Ho has a total length of nearly 50 km connecting the two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau. O Quy Ho Pass is located at an altitude of 2,000 m. This place is considered to be dangerous by many people because there are many deep chasms. However, if overcoming the fear and reaching the peak, you will have the opportunity to be immersed in the vast nature of the sea and floating clouds.

Khau Pha Pass

It is also one of the “four great passes” of Vietnam. Khau Pha reminds people of the rugged pass, which is more than 30 km long, between Van Chan and Mu Cang Chai districts in Yen Bai. The pass is impressive with many people by the twists and turns: one side is the valley, the other is the high mount. This pass is challenging because on foggy days, the road becomes more difficult because there are no barricades or any warning signs. Khau Phia is also the main road connecting Yen Bai with Lai Chau and Lao Cai.

Ma Phuc Pass

This beautiful pass is mentioned on Highway 3 from Phu Lo to Ta Nung border gate, 22 km from Cao Bang, in Quoc Toan commune, Tra Linh district. The name of this pass comes from the fact that the two sides of the highway are two blocks of limestone, standing up together as two horses lying down. The scenery on both sides of the pass also scored with many people. Coming here in the spring, you will be able to see the buckwheat flower fields.

Thung Khe Pass

Bringing the majestic beauty and look of a hill covered with snow, Thung Khe Pass received the attention of many young people after the music of a female singer debut. The pass is located on Highway 6, in the territory of two districts of Tan Lac and Mai Chau, Hoa Binh. According to the experience of many people who come here, visitors will have the opportunity to experience four seasons in a day at the pass. The temperature will decrease from morning to evening.

Sa Mu Pass

Sa Mu Pass via Van Nghe

Sa Mu pass is the most dangerous mountain in western Quang Tri, with the length of 19.8 km connecting the two communes of Huong Phung and Huong Viet in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province. The pass is nearly 1,400 m above sea level bordering Vietnam – Laos border. There are steep, winding roads, often with fog and white clouds. If you conquer the legendary Truong Son road, you will hardly forget going through this pass.

Hai Van pass

Stretching 20 km from Hue to Danang, Hai Van pass crosses the Bach Ma mountain range. Although there are many dangerous sections, the pass still attracts many tourists to the scenic or wedding couples.

Ca Pass

Ca Pass is located on National Highway 1A linking two provinces of Phu Yen – Khanh Hoa with a length of about 12 km. This is one of the rugged terrain in the Central. Passing through, you will enjoy the scenery on the one side and one side with the sea and a wild mountain.

Hon Giao Pass

Hon Giao Pass connects the coastal city of Nha Trang with the flower city of Da Lat, belonging to Green Highlands Green Palace. The pass is 1,700 m high and 33 km long.
